Building a country pavilion: what trade bodies should know

One identity, many exhibitors, and a committee to answer to. Where pavilions usually go wrong.

Trio Exhibitions 20 Jun 2026

A pavilion is not a big stand. It is twenty or thirty small ones that have to look like one thing, built to a shared deadline, for exhibitors who did not choose the contractor and mostly want their own logo bigger.

Where pavilions fail

Almost always in coordination, not construction. When each exhibitor sources their own fit-out, finishes drift, build-up slots collide, and the organising body spends the show mediating. Producing the whole pavilion in one facility removes the problem rather than managing it.

What a pavilion scope needs

  • A master layout giving every exhibitor fair frontage
  • One pavilion identity that still allows individual branding
  • Shared infrastructure — registration, meeting rooms, storage, pantry
  • A per-exhibitor fit-out pack so nobody sources their own contractor
  • A single point of contact for the organising body
  • Interpreters on stand where the delegation needs them

Scale we have worked at

China, Korea, Taiwan, Germany and Karnataka pavilions at IMTEX, Elecrama, Palm Expo, Automation Expo, IITF and Leather Expo — from eight exhibitors up to a 400 sqm multi-zone programme at Jio Cosmoprof.

The organising body should be dealing with one contractor. Every exhibitor conversation that reaches the committee is a coordination failure further down.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We do, directly. The organising body should not become a messaging service between thirty companies and a contractor.
